Programs and Services
Paradise Elementary provides the
following programs and services for grades Kindergarten through 6.
Classrooms are heterogeneously grouped with developmentally-appropriate practices emphasized.
Language arts are integrated in a daily two or three hour language arts block. A balanced literacy approach is used; incorporating the StoryTown series, guided reading, and literature circles.
Emphasis on process approach to reading and writing.
Thinking skills integrated into every curriculum area.
Comprehensive math program with emphasis on basic skills, as well as problem solving.
Science curriculum includes "hands-on" experiences.
Art, music, library, STEM, and health/physical education specialists provide experiences in these areas.
Instrumental music instruction in grade 4 - 6.
One-to-One technology; iPads K-4, laptops 5-6.
Teacher aides and volunteers.
Gifted and talented students are provided with extension and enrichment experiences.
Educational assemblies and trips are provided throughout the year .
